Welcome to my page! My name is Keegan, and I'm a recently graduated PhD student from the Paris Observatory. I have dual French-Australian citizenship, and am fluent in both languages. I completed my undergraduate diploma at the Australian National University (Australia), specialising in Astronomy and Astrophysics, before moving on to complete a Masters degree in Astronomy research at Leiden University (Netherlands). Most recently, I defended my PhD at the Paris Observatory (France), with a thesis dedicated to the study of magnetism in delta Scuti variable stars.
I specialise in observing with, and manipulating the data from, spectropolarimetric instruments such as CFHT/ESPaDOnS and TBL/NeoNarval, as well as the exploitation of photometric datasets from space missions like TESS and Kepler, for both stellar (e.g. pulsations) and exoplanetary signals (e.g. transits).
I am currently working as a Research Associate at Newcastle University, where I am applying similar observational techniques to that of my PhD, but focused more generally on massive stars. The goal is to combine surface magnetism from spectropolarimetry with asteroseismic modeling techniques to achieve a greater understanding of stellar internal physics and evolutionary theory.
